Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Tess Browning began her dance training at Dance Collective, studying a variety of dance styles from an early age. She went on to compete nationally and internationally, receiving numerous scholarships and accolades, including top placements at regional Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) competitions and multiple selections to the YAGP Finals.

In 2020, Tess was awarded the Royal Academy of Dance Solo Seal Award. That same year, she received a scholarship to the San Francisco Ballet School, where she performed in Helgi Tomasson’s Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, Yuri Possokhov’s Don Quixote, and George Balanchine’s Symphony in C. During her time in San Francisco, she was also selected to choreograph an original work for fellow students.

In 2022, Tess joined Orlando Ballet II, performing in productions including Michael Pink’s Dracula. In 2024, she joined Alberta Ballet’s Corps de Ballet, performing a demi-soloist role in Francesco Ventriglia’s La Sylphide and appearing in Edmund Stripe’s The Nutcracker.

Now based in Vancouver, Tess continues her career as a professional ballet dancer while exploring choreography and new movement languages as part of her artistic practice.
