Originally from Mexico, Paula began her professional training at The National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance in Mexico City. At the age of 14, she received a scholarship to further her education at the Victoria Academy of Ballet in Victoria, BC. Upon graduating, Paula joined Ballet Edmonton in 2019. After 5 seasons under the Artistic Direction of Wen Wei Wang and 2 seasons under Kirsten Wicklund, she departed the company in 2026.

Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with acclaimed choreographers such as Cyril Baldy, Marie Gyselbrecht, Béatrice Larrivée, Andrea Peña, Ihsan Rustem, Shay Kuebler, Dorotea Saykaly, and Ethan Colangelo, among others, while performing across Canada.

While in rehearsal, Paula has always been interested in personal development through movement and how the physicality of different pieces affects the emotions and inner dialogue that emerges.

This is Paula's first season with Ballet Vancouver, and she looks forward to continuing to grow as an artist while contributing to the company’s exciting new chapter.
