ALLISON LANG
Allison Lang is a dance artist creating and interpreting work as a settler on the unceded, ancestral, occupied territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
Informed by her experience in creative processes and performance with Action at a Distance (2025), Kokoro Dance (2023-2024), Ballet Edmonton (2019-2022), Ballet Kelowna (2017-2019), The National Ballet of Canada (2016), as well as foundational training as a graduate of Canada’s National Ballet School, Allison's work traverses the sensibilities of ballet, contemporary and butoh.
Choreographically, her work investigates the surreal within the human experience, responding to and shaped by the politics of the body. Through her evolving practice, she seeks to cultivate spaces of transformation, absurdity and ways of opening towards the imagination of new systems.
