Allison Lang is a performing artist living on the unsurrendered lands of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations, colonially known as Vancouver. Raised in Coquitlam, she trained at Canada’s National Ballet School (Tkaronto) as a scholarship student and, upon graduating, guest apprenticed with The National Ballet of Canada.

She spent three wonderful seasons as an artist with Ballet Edmonton under the artistic direction of Wen Wei Wang. Since returning to the West Coast to pursue a freelance practice, she has worked with artists and companies including Action at a Distance (Vanessa Goodman), Ballet Vancouver (Joshua Beamish), and Kokoro Dance (Jay Hirabayashi, Barbara Bourget). Alongside her performance practice, Allison develops her own choreographic work, participating in residencies with LEÑA, Odd Meridian Arts, and The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. In recent years, her independent and collaborative work has been presented in Vancouver, Edmonton, Berlin, Beijing, and Oaxaca.
