Originally from Edmonton, Dr. Scott Maybank, DC began dancing in high school, training with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, and The National Ballet of Canada. Professionally, he launched his career with Ballet BC under John Alleyne, worked across Australia, and concluded his stage career with Alberta Ballet.

Now based in Victoria, Dr. Maybank is a small-business owner and chiropractor who continues to support dancers and artists whenever possible. He has provided care for performers with Ballet Edmonton, Ballet Victoria, numerous company members via Dance Victoria, and, of course, Ballet BC.

He brings to the board a unique blend of international dance experience, healthcare expertise, and entrepreneurial insight focused on artist wellness, sustainable careers, and strong community partnerships.
