Led by Artistic Director Joshua Beamish, Ballet Vancouver Performance Series is a non-profit charitable dance company founded in 2025 and based in Vancouver. The primary mandate of the company is to revitalize Vancouver’s access to professional classical, neoclassical, and narrative ballet.

>MISSION

Ballet Vancouver Performance Series is dedicated to the creation and presentation of innovative and engaging ballet productions. The company presents multiple home performances annually, in addition to national and international touring. Ballet Vancouver’s programming encompasses homecoming performances by locally trained ballet stars, coupled with appearances by renowned international ballet artists and ballet companies.

Ballet Vancouver offers the community access to distinguished local and international performers and instructors, from lauded companies such as American Ballet Theatre, The Royal Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and The National Ballet of Canada, among others. In addition, emerging, diverse local talent is fostered through outreach programs and choreographic development initiatives.

>TERRITORIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Ballet Vancouver would like to acknowledge that we gather and create on the traditional, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We recognize the profound, ancestral connection these Nations have to the lands and waters of what is now known as Vancouver, and express our sincere gratitude and respect as we live, learn, and work on these territories.
