RENEE SIGOUIN

Renee Sigouin is a contemporary dance artist based in Vancouver, BC.  She completed her post-secondary training at Modus Operandi in Vancouver, graduating in 2012. After attending Modus Operandi, she was a student of Peter Bingham’s contact improvisation scholarship program. Since then, she has performed locally, nationally and internationally originating roles in several full-length works with Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Kinesis Somatheatro, Joshua Beamish/MOVETHECOMPANY, Company 605, Wen Wei Dance, Mascall Dance, Anne Plamondon, Constance Cooke & EDAM.  

In 2018, she joined Crystal Pite’s company Kidd Pivot performing in the Laurence Olivier Award-winning dance-theatre works Revisor and Assembly Hall (co-created with Jonathon Young). In 2021 she toured with Mats Ek’s duet program Dialogues performing Crystal Pite’s duet “Animation” with Gregory Lau. Recently she was featured in Jon Bryant’s “Visiting Hours” music video directed by cinematographer Jon Joffin, ASC and choreographed by Justine A. Chambers. In addition to her work as a performer, she is a guest rehearsal director with Ballet BC for Crystal Pite’s work Frontier.
