NOELLE YOUNG

Noelle Young was born and raised in Chilliwack B.C. and is a member of Ch’íyáqtel band, Stó:lō First Nation. Noelle began her movement journey at the age of 8 and graduated from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre's Professional Training Program in 2016 with a focus in contemporary and modern dance. After a season with Toronto Dance Theatre Company, she moved back to B.C. where she explored alternative creative and movement outlets including two years at Emily Carr University. 

Today, Noelle is a fully certified Pilates teacher and movement educator through Vancouver Pilates Centre. She is passionate about sharing the wonder and gratification of full-bodied movement with her peers and the clients she works with. Besides teaching, she is a Coast Salish weaver and is also helping to revitalize Halq’eméylemqel spoken in Stó:lō Territory as a learner and speaker of the language.
