Australian ballerina Stephanie Petersen (Williams) has enchanted audiences with American Ballet Theatre and The Australian Ballet. At 21, she joined Wheeldon’s Morphoses, starring in Commedia and Fool’s Paradise, and was crowned the youngest-ever Australian Telstra Ballet Dancer of the Year, and People’s Choice award winner. A 2005 gold medalist at the Asian Pacific International Ballet Competition, she debuted as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake for her graduation from The Australian Ballet School. She is best known to audiences for her spellbinding “Myrta” in Giselle at ABT, and expressive portrayals of Jerome Robbins’ Afternoon of a Faun and Christopher Wheeldon’s After The Rain. In 2022, she performed with Twyla Tharp’s company for In the Upper Room and Sinatra Suite at New York City Center.
