Lochlan Perrott was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and is a graduate of Canada's National Ballet School, where he trained in classical and contemporary repertoire. He has performed works by George Balanchine, Aszure Barton, Peggy Baker, Esie Mensah, Jera Wolf, James Kudelka, and Graham McKelvie.

Lochlan was awarded the Jeffrey Kirk Scholarship and the Canada Council for the Arts' Peter Dwyer Scholarship, and was nominated for the Hnatyshyn Foundation's Joysanne Sidimus Ballet Award.
