KEILANI ELIZABETH ROSE

Keilani Rose is an award-winning filmmaker, actress, and classically and culturally trained dancer. Through her mother’s lineage, she belongs to the Lheidli T’enneh Nation and holds a deep connection to the ocean and islands of Hawaiʻi as Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian).

The legacy of her ancestors—the courage of Polynesian wayfinders and the heart of Dakelh Dene healers—guides her path.

Keilani currently stars as Miigwan on the CRAVE series Shorsey. She made her film debut starring in and choreographing Within the Silence, which received Best Fantasy and Best Choreography at Festival de Cannes (2021). She is also the founder of Two Rivers & a Rose Filmworks Inc., a production company dedicated to inclusive representation, sovereign storytelling, and Indigenous justice.

A true survivor, Keilani’s resilience is her alchemy. On July 4, 2022, she survived a gun violence attack outside her West Hollywood apartment, taking a bullet straight through her chest. Today, she continues to transform trauma into art, advocacy, and community healing.

Guided by the teachings of the converging rivers, Keilani’s work embodies themes of duality, balance, and transformation, where creativity and community flow together as one.
