As the Principal and Founding Partner of Murray Paterson Marketing Group (MPMG), Laura has built an award-winning full-service marketing agency founded on the passion, creativity, and integrity that define the artistic process. A classical ballet dancer and journalist by training, Laura brings the strength and discipline of dance to her leadership with the insight and exactitude of reporting to her work. Recognizing a need for a firm dedicated exclusively to supporting the arts + culture sector, Laura launched MPMG in Vancouver in 2011. Since then, the agency has served a prestigious national roster of clients.

Laura was recognized as a Business in Vancouver ‘Forty Under 40’ winner in 2016, acknowledging the city’s most successful entrepreneurs under the age of 40 and the ones to watch. In addition to leading MPMG, Laura has provided arts commentary and reviews for a number of publications, most notably the Vancouver Sun, The Georgia Straight, and Dance International Magazine. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Arts and Culture, Made in BC: Dance on Tour, and the Vancouver Ballet Society.
