YOSUKE MINO
CHOREOGRAPHER, WORLD PREMIERE
Yosuke Mino is an emerging Japanese-Canadian ballet dancer, choreographer, and educator who spent the vast majority of his highly successful performance career as a Soloist with Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Following his retirement from dancing, Mino has focused heavily on choreography and teaching. He has set original pieces for the RWB, Q Dance, and various international events like the Varna International Ballet Competition. Notably, Mino serves as the choreographer for "Kimiko's Pearl". Commissioned by Bravo Niagara! Festival of the Arts, it is a highly significant, original ballet charting the real-life multi-generational history, forced relocation, and internment of Japanese-Canadians during World War II.
